Southampton County cotton and peanut producer Marvin L. Everett Jr. of Capron was elected Dec. 1 to a third three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors. 

 

Pittsylvania County beef and poultry producer Robert Mills Jr. of Callands has been elected to a three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors. Elections of directors were held Dec. 1 during the organization’s 2011 annual convention in Norfolk.

 

Beef producer Thomas Graves Jr. of Orange was re-elected Dec. 1 to a second three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors. Elections of directors were held at the organization’s 2011 Annual Convention in Norfolk. 

 

Beef cattle and hay producer Gordon R. Metz Jr. of Martinsville was elected Dec. 1 to a ninth three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors.

 

Tazewell County cattle producer Emily Fisher Edmondson of Chilhowie has been re-elected to a second three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors. Elections of directors were held Dec.1 at the organization’s annual convention in Norfolk.

 

A veteran Virginia Farm Bureau volunteer leader and a champion of private property rights received 2011 Distinguished Service to Farm Bureau and Distinguished Service to Agriculture Awards Nov. 30 at the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention in Norfolk. 

 

Farm Bureaus in the counties of Greene, Loudoun, Orange and Chesterfield were recognized Nov. 30 by Virginia Farm Bureau Federation for their work in educating the public and promoting agriculture and Farm Bureau.
