Extension releases e-books

BLACKSBURG—Virginia Cooperative Extension’s free publications are now available in e-book format. The publications are available for iPads, iPhones and the iPod Touch, but will be available for other e-readers soon.

Titles currently available feature information on water bath canning, pruning peach trees and aerating lawns. They are available at

Extension will release seasonally relevant and most-requested e-books on a monthly basis. The publications are written by Extension specialists and peer-reviewed to addresses key issues related to agriculture; community development; the environment, finance; food, nutrition and health; home and family life; and lawn and garden care.
