Farm Bureau will hold child seat check Aug. 17 at Science Museum of Virginia

RICHMOND—Virginia Farm Bureau will hold a free child safety seat check from 5 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 17 at the Science Museum of Virginia, 2500 W. Broad St.

“Installing a child seat correctly can be a daunting task for parents and caregivers,” said Jimmy Maass, Farm Bureau’s safety manager. “Take the guesswork out of child seat installation, and have a certified technician check your seat for proper fit, recalls and other issues.”

Staff from the Virginia Department of Health’s Division of Prevention and Health Promotion will perform bike helmet fittings that evening at the museum as well.

Contact Maass at 804-290-1379.
